1. The New York Jets season is DONE

We have the Dolphins giving Brian Flores a damn Gatorade bath after beating the J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS, to take them to an INCREDIBLE 1-7 record. However, the J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS are also 1-7. Let’s take a look at how their fans are handling it.

Just, wow. This is honestly the most Jets season ever. First off their starting QB Sam Darnold gets sidelined with MONO, their defensive leader is constantly getting hurt, and they were looking to trade both Jamaal Adams and Le’Veon Bell. The Jets are a team that has genuine talent every year but somehow seems to butt fumble it away. Just sad. Please keep the J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS in all of your prayers. Also screw the Jets for what they did to Kelechi Osemele. They were trying to force him to take Toradol just to play when he wanted to have surgery on his shoulder. And since he took HIS own health into HIS hands, they cut him. Two words for the Jets, Poverty Franchise.

2. Mitch Trubisky + Matt Nagy = BAD

Children please cover your eyes, you’re about to read Mitch Trubisky’s stats. In 7 games Mitch Trubisky has thrown for 1217 yards, 5 TDs, and 3 INTs. Trubisky has an incredible QBR of 31.8, which places him at 31st in the league. He is 33rd in TDs, 22nd in completion percentage, and 28th in passing yards. And then there’s Matt Nagy. Matt Nagy, the supposed quarterback whisperer/offensive guru who took a knee with 43 seconds left because he was afraid to turnover the ball before Bears kicker Eddy Piñero missed the potential game-winning field goal. The Bears offense has been absolutely horrendous, which causes their defense to be on the field 2x more. The Chicago Bears had NINE YARDS of total offense at halftime against the Eagles. Their least amount in at least 40 years. Ladies and gentlemen lets just remember that the Bears traded UP to select Mitch Trubisky over Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. Magnificent (Go to 1:40 of this video for the perfect explanation of Mitch Trubisky).

3. The 7-1 Packers lost to the 3-5 Chargers…

BUT it’s okay because every single team in the NFC North lost as well. The Packers are now currently sitting at 7-2, one game ahead of the 2nd place Minnesota Vikings. It was a very uncharacteristic loss for the cheeseheads as they only scored three points through the first three quarters. Aaron Rodgers played okay, throwing for 161 yards, 1 TD, and no turnovers. The main problem for the team from Wisconsin was San Diego’s (I refuse to say LA) strong front seven. Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram combined for 3 sacks, while the rest of their defense recorded 5 tackles for loss. Melvin Gordon scored 2 TDs, waking up from his holdout slump while Mike Williams had 3 catches for 111 yards. This doesn’t really affect the Packers playoff hopes, but it is concerning considering they even had Davante Adams back.

4. What the hell is going on in Cleveland, Ohio?

The Cleveland Browns were favored to win the AFC North this year. They are now sitting at third place with a 2-6 record, only in front of the 0-8 Cincinnati Bengals. After having a rather impressive rookie year, quarterback Baker Mayfield has completely lost his ability to play the game of football. I honestly don’t know who to blame for the Browns lack of success this year, but it starts with bad coaching and quarterback play. Baker Mayfield has thrown the most interceptions in the NFL (12), he’s last in the NFL in completion percentage (58.7%), 29th in passing touchdowns (7), and 25th in QBR (38.2).

Baker instead threw the ball to a double covered Jarvis Landry, which was batted down.

Head coach Freddie Kitchens absolutely stinks, as his team leads the league in penalties. The lack of discipline is shown every single game. Poor tackling, absence of leadership, and carelessness with the ball have been apparent while Kitchens might just be out of a job after only one year. And a perfect example of lack of leadership would be this right here.

Literally 15 minutes after the Browns lost to third-string quarterback Brandon Allen, who had not started a game since the 2015 Liberty Bowl with Arkansas, Browns safety Jermaine Whitehead took to twitter to threaten some fans who were chirping him about his performance. A performance which included this beauty right here.

Just take an educated guess on who that was that got absolutely truck sticked by Noah Fant. My boy Jermaine Whitehead. So yeah, the Browns are an absolute dumpster fire and even with an easy schedule to end the year I don’t know if they can turn it around. They play the Bills, Steelers, Bengals, Ravens, and Dolphins at home and play the Steelers, Cardinals, and Bengals away. Literally every single one of these games for the Browns are winnable. It’s just up to them if they want to actually show up or not.

5. The Patriots lost a game and that’s ok

Every single Patriots fan on this planet knew that Sunday night’s game was going to have to take a lot to win. In Baltimore against a potential MVP candidate in Lamar Jackson the Patriots almost crumbled in the first half. The score was 17-0 Ravens with 14 minutes left in the second quarter. It took a Cyrus Jones (former Patriot) muffed punt to wake up the defending super bowl champs a little. Tom Brady then threw a touchdown to newly acquired receiver Mohammed Sanu to make it 17-7. The former Falcons receiver went on to have a great game catching 10 passes for 81 yards. Nick Folk then added on two field goals to make it 17-13 at half with the Patriots getting the ball right back after the break. After driving from their own 25 to the Ravens 30 yard line, the usually reliable Julian Edelman fumbled the ball as Marlon Humphrey returned it 70 yards for a Ravens TD. This shifted the game in the Ravens favor, as the Patriots were about to take the lead. Even though James White would add a TD later, it was too little too late. Lamar Jackson continued to show why he’s a legit candidate for MVP as he threw for a TD and ran for two more, with no turnovers. My thoughts are exactly like my guy Pat McAfee right here.

McAfee is right, Lamar IS a cheat code. It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out for the Ravens. As for the Patriots, they are heading into their bye taking an extra week to look at what they did wrong and how to improve. I have complete faith in Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, and honestly why shouldn’t I? The Patriots went 11-5 last year and still won the Super Bowl, I would just rather not play Lamar Jackson in Baltimore again. The offense was looking pretty good besides the Brady interception and Edelman fumble. And even better is that Isiah Wynn and N’Keal Harry are both coming back after the bye week. This will give the offense a much needed boost to protect Brady with Wynn and spread the field with Harry. On the other side of the ball, the defense will once again be tested during these next four games as they play Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, and Kansas City. Let’s get this clear though, I still believe that the Lombardi Trophy this year will be coming to Foxborough, Massachusetts. #LFG
